Cheshunt ABC

The Club

We are delighted to be able to announce our re-opening of the Cheshunt Boxing Club, albeit on a reduced operation. We've made some changes to the way we open and run our gym classes in order to ensure we keep everyone safe while at the gym, please make sure you've read them before turning up to the gym.

How are we keeping you safe at the club during these unsettling times?

  • You will now be required to book a place at the gym before you attend, ensuring we have an accurate record of attendance at the gym for Track & Trace. You can do this by phoning our Club Secretary, Sue on 07958 063006. If possible, please try to call Sue in-between 7pm & 8pm, nightly. Alternatively, you can email us on
  • We are limiting the amount of people allowed in the gym at any one time to 15 boxers & 2 coaches. This is to enable social distancing to be ahead to at all times, allowing you to exercise freely and safely.
  • We ask that you now pay your weekly subs in advance, to limit the amounts of times cash needs to be handled at the gym.
  • All gym goers will be required to have their temperature taken & to use our hand sanitize upon entering the gym. Please do not turn up with your hand wraps on as we will politely ask you to remove these to ensure you can sanitize.
  • Upon entering the gym & throughout your stay, please ensure you remain within your marked spot unless instructed by a coach to move to a different section of the gym. This will ensure we can all stay safe and socially distanced will inside the gym.
  • As we are limiting the number of people allowed at the gym at any one time, we will be holding multiple session each night. Coaches will sanitize all the main touch-points & all gym equipment in a 30 minute period between each session, allowing you to attend with confidence.
  • To allow us to support NHS Track & Trace, we will require a parent/ guardian to accompany each junior on their first session, in order to be able to provide contact details for safe collation.
  • Unfortunately, we are not able to supply any personal equipment & we therefore require you to bring your own equipment (Boxing Gloves, Skipping Rope, Hand Wraps etc).
  • Until we are notified otherwise by the relevant authorities, there will be no Pad Work or Sparring throughout our sessions, as we cannot keep socially distanced during these times.
  • We cannot allow any parents or spectators to remain on the club grounds during the course of the session. We politely ask you to drop off, seek a coaches attention prior to the session to give any Track & Trace details and return no earlier than at the end of the session.
  • Safety for our volunteer coaches & our gym goers is our number one priority. The gym will be deep cleaned once a week, on-top of our regular 30 minute cleaning in-between sessions each night.
  • To allow regular ventilation, all our doors & windows will be open throughout the sessions to enable fresh, ventilated air to circulate across the gym.
